The international rollout of Suzuki's first ever fully-electric production model, the e VITARA, is well underway, with sales of the SUV now having started in India.
Specially for the Indian market, the brand's Indian subsidiary, Maruti Suzuki, has launched the "e for me" battery electric vehicle (BEV) strategy to provide comprehensive support for e VITARA customers.
The company has established a robust charging infrastructure by installing more than 2,000 dedicated Maruti Suzuki charging stations across over 1,100 cities throughout the country. The organisation plans to expand this network significantly, targeting over 100,000 charging points nationwide by 2030 through partnerships with dealers and charge point operators.
To enhance the user experience, Maruti Suzuki's "e for me" refers to its mobile application too, which enables customers to easily locate charging stations and monitor their vehicle's charging progress.
The company has also prepared 1,500 service workshops specifically equipped for BEV maintenance and repairs, complemented by mobile service units to ensure comprehensive customer support for e VITARA owners throughout India.
Built atop of the new 'HEARTECT-e' platform developed specially for battery-electric vehicles, the e VITARA has already entered the European and Japanese markets, with plans for distribution to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.
