Telok Blangah Road hit-and-run: victim receives help

The Straits Times reported that the victim of an alleged hit-and-run accident has issued an online plea to find the culprit. The victim and her pillion passenger were injured after being thrown off her motorcycle when it was hit by a black BMW on Telok Blangah Road on Friday night.
The motorcyclist, who goes by the username 'Dee Huny', uploaded pictures of their abrasions on Facebook on Sunday and urged witnesses to come forward to provide more information.
She said she had been hit by the left side of the BMW, which dragged her bike for a few metres. The car slowed down at first but then sped off. Neither of the injured women suffered any fractures or internal injuries. They were both taken to Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
The Facebook post was shared more than 1,450 times and details of the accident were also published on citizen journalism website STOMP.
Yesterday, Police confirmed the male BMW driver had been identified with the help of information received from the public. It is understood that the case has been classified as a hit-and-run accident.
