Tesla opens new charging station in Malacca

Planning to drive your Tesla up to Malaysia for the holidays? Keeping those batteries charged up will become a touch easier, thanks to a new Supercharging station now available in Malacca.

Located at the Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, the new station will enable seamless fast charging cross-country trips for Tesla owners in both Malaysia and Singapore, with a total of four Superchargers and one Destination Charger offered.

The new charging station is said to be the fourth in the Supercharging network of Malaysia. The firm's Superchargers offering a peak charging speed of 250kW, which can recharge a Model 3 with 282km of range in just 15 minutes.

The Freeport A'Famosa Outlet charging station offers Supercharging at RM1.25/kWh, and there is an idle fee of RM4.00/minute when the station is fully occupied. The station is open 24 hours a day and can be located at Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, Jalan Kemus/Sempang Ampat, 78000Alor Gajah, Melaka, Malaysia.
