The Chevrolet Aveo 5 is here!

The brand new Aveo5 has been launched with an impressive new exterior design and a fresh new interior. The new hatchback features a completely redesigned front end with trademark Chevrolet design features, such as the large horizontally split radiator grille and body-coloured cross beam. The interior design also takes the style ratings up a notch and is much more appealing this time round.


At 40 millimetres longer than its predecessor and 10 millimetres higher, the new Aveo5 allows for a higher seating position providing a better view of the road ahead.

The new, smooth plastic surfaces have a soft-touch finish of both the instrument panel and the upper half of the door panel - something lacking on the older model.

The new Chevrolet Aveo5 offers a 1.4 litre engine capable of up to 94 hp at 6,200 rpm and maximum torque of 130 Nm at 3,400 rpm.

It comes in a selection of vibrant body colours: Galaxy White, Urban Grey, Sports Blue, Highway Yellow, Poly Silver, Super Red and Carbon Flash Black.


The new Aveo5 will go on sale in Singapore on 17 July 2008 at special introductory prices from $49,188 (MT) and $52,188 (AT) (inclusive of COE).

To celebrate the launch of their latest hatchback, Chevrolet is hosting a three-day event, titled The Aveo5 Extravaganza, featuring the full range of Chevrolet cars available in Singapore alongside lifestyle and fashion brands.

Besides the new Aveo5, the other star of the show will be the Corvette C6, an iconic Chevrolet only available in the United States, but finishing a limited edition display run here in Singapore.

Chevrolet says that the new Aveo5 Extravaganza will be held at Marina Square Central Atrium from May 17-19, and will allow the public ample opportunity to participate in the activities, celebrating liberation and adventure, Chevrolet-style.
