Chevrolet marks Singapore comeback with Corvette Stingray

Chevrolet has marked its return to Singapore with the launch of its Corvette Stingray sports car, marking a new chapter in the city state's automotive scene.

At the heart of this lithe beast lies a 6.2-litre V8 engine unleashing a whopping 488bhp and 631Nm of torque, propelling it to a top speed of 312km/h and a century sprint timing of just 2.9 seconds. Furthermore, its mid-engine layout ensures optimal balance and razor-sharp handling.

The Z51 Performance Package comes as standard on the Stingray and features upgrades designed for peak performance. These include a track-tuned suspension, performance exhausts, larger brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ZP summer tyres. The sports car also has a lightweight, 3.2mm-thick glass panel on its rear hatch that helps show off its engine bay and dissipate heat.

True to its roots, the Stingray's canopy-forward stance was inspired by F-22 and F-35 fighter jets, blending aerodynamics with aggressive presence. Inside the cockpit, striking details include hand-wrapped, cut-and-sew leather components with thick press stitching, stainless steel speaker grilles with Bose Performance Series audio system, spacious dual trunks for storage space, as well as practical daily driving features including integrated cameras with front curb view and a front suspension lift that raises ground clearance.

Chevrolet's flagship showroom will open at 1 Commonwealth Lane, Singapore 149544, on 28 July 2025. Chevrolet has also said that the Corvette Stingray will be available in limited units.

The brand has also said that in celebration of its arrival in Singapore, it will hold a launch pop-up at the Level 1 Atrium in ION Orchard from 28 July to 3 August 2025, allowing the public to view the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray up close and personal.
