The fourth generation Honda CR-V has finally arrived in Singapore

Introducing an upscale styling direction, greater fuel efficiency, and an advanced user interface and functionality, the latest Honda is compact on the outside and spacious on the inside, presenting an unbeatable balance for size and functionality in the crossover SUV segment.

With the success of the third generation CR-V selling almost 2,400 units in Singapore, the latest compact SUV is made to build on this success, offering new advanced technologies and a higher level of style, safety and refinement.

"The new 4^th Generation Honda CR-V impresses with its sedan-like driving experience. It is also very well equipped," said Mr Vincent Ng, Product Manager of Kah Motor. "All models are equipped with an intelligent Multi-information Display featuring a 5-inch TFT display and Honda's innovative Eco AssistTM. To meet the individual needs of our customers, we are offering a new two engine lineup with Front Wheel Drive for even greater efficiency."

The top of the line CR-V will be powered by a 2.4-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine with 187bhp and 222Nm of torque and will be paired with a standard five-speed automatic transmission. This variant will reach the 100km/h mark in just 10.8 seconds and will hit the maximum speed of 190km/h.

On the other hand, the smaller but no less punchy 2.0-litre variant will be powered by a 2.0-litre i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with 152bhp and 190Nm of torque to cover the 100km/h mark in a slightly longer 12.6 seconds. However, it doesn’t lose out to its bigger-engined sibling in terms of its top speed, thanks to its lighter weight, reaching a maximum of 186km/h.

New for 2012 standard features include a 1-Pull Lever 60/40 Rear Folding Seats and a range of standard technology features. New high-tech features on both models include a full-color intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID).

In terms of its design, the 2012 CR-V body adopts a more dynamic and sophisticated external design. The CR-V's spacious interior layout is more accommodating with a roomy new center console/arm rest and an overall lower cargo floor height for easy loading and unloading.

The new 1-Pull Lever 60/40 Rear Folding Seats makes accessing the full capability of the cargo area much more convenient than traditional folding seats. Each side of the rear seat can fold nearly flat into the front of the cargo area using one of the release levers located near the tailgate, or a pull-strap positioned on the seat side.
