Formula E fans in Tokyo last week had a special treat awaiting them, with Porsche and TAG Heuer unveiling a city-specific livery of the two Porsche 99X Electric race cars during an event at Terrada Warehouse. The livery was used exclusively on the cars driven in the Tokyo E-Prix on 30 March by Pascal Wehrlein (#94) and António Félix da Costa (#13).
Improving on their starting positions, Wehrlein and da Costa ended up finishing in fifth and fourth place respectively, netting a cumulative 22 points for the team. Wehrlein is currently in the lead among all drivers, while the TAG Heuer Porsche team is running in second.
Not only does the livery celebrate the longstanding partnership between Porsche and TAG Heuer; it was also developed in a net carbon-neutral Weissach Facility.
This exclusive - and most importantly - pink livery highlights the spirit of Formula E and the future-oriented trends that the world's first electric racing series represents. Versatile, and holding significance for Formula E and electric racing, the livery is also designed in a way to reflect Japanese street art and car culture.
TAG Heuer released a dual-colour customisation for the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4, in celebration of the unveiling of the livery
In conjunction with the unveiling, TAG Heuer also released a new Connected watch face which features a pink hue similar to that on the Porsche 99X Electric. The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 - Porsche Edition watch will also offer exclusive dual-colour customisation in both blue and pink, giving Porsche and TAG Heuer fans a stylish and sleek accessory.
