The Vision 357 thus sports a narrow passenger cell with an abruptly sloping flyline and broad shoulders, and proportions that evoke those of the 356. Other obvious nods to the 356 here are the round head lights, while the Vision 357's Ice Grey Metallic and Grivola Grey Metallic two-tone finish is said to mirror the grey tones that were already popular in the 1950s.
The windscreen of the Vision 357 is also said to take after that found on the later examples of the 356, here sharply wrapping around the black A-pillars to visually unify it with the side window surfaces.
The 20-inch magnesium wheels of the design concept get carbon fibre hubcaps and central locks And at the rear of the Vision 357 is a grille pattern, in which the third brake light is integrated, yet another nod to the 356.
Underpinning the Porsche Vision 357 is said to be the platform of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The Vision 357, however, sports 20-inch wheels made of magnesium and equipped with aerodynamically efficient carbon fibre hubcaps and central locks.
Other details that hint at the sporty nature of the car include the large front spoiler, the blueish-looking titanium tailpipe trim in the rear, as well as the side sills, which are made from natural fibre-reinforced plastic as first seen in the Porsche Mission R.
Porsche states that in theory, the 4.0-litre, naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine of the Vision 357 should be able to push out a total of 493bhp, and run on the carbon-neutral eFuel that powered the 718 Cayman GT4 RS at the GP Ice Race in Zell am See.
