Tod and Lamborghini unveil new footwear collection

Lamborghini and Tod have presented a new footwear collection that is said to celebrate the craftsmanship and innovation that defines both firms.

The collection is said to comprise of men's and women's footwear and features two models, the iconic Tod's Gommino and sneaker produced in colours inspired by the two brands.

The line is made from leather that is sourced from the world's best tanneries, and all cutting and stitching of the leather for the line is done by hand

The new line from the Gommino echoes the livery of Lamborghini's super sports cars thanks to its tubular banding that gives the line movement and elegance. The characteristic 'pebbles' on its soles, meanwhile, take on the colour of the heel or upper. The line is made from leathers that are sourced from the world's best tanneries, while its production process is additionally said to require a high level of craftsmanship. All cutting and stitching of the leather for the line is said to be done by hand.

The collection was launched in Pitti Uomo in Florence, an event that is considered a 'must' for men's style. On display was the collection in all its variants alongside the Lamborghini Revuelto, emphasising the synergy of the two worlds. Part of Tod's artisanal production will also be shifted to Stazione Leopolda, where the craftsmanship of sewing and assembling the Gommino will be on display for all to see.

Lamborghini states that the collection is a first step in a project that will also include leather goods and clothing collections. Tod's for Automobili Lamborghini will be available for purchase starting 10 January 2024.
