Toyota to unveil the all-new open-air ROX at SEMA 2024

Working together with its North American design studio, Toyota and Calty Design Research will soon unveil the ambitious "Recreation Open eXperience" (ROX) concept vehicle.
Beginning as a reimagined 2024 Land Cruiser, and crafted in close collaboration with Toyota Technical Centre, more than 50% of the vehicle was reinvented into a functional bodywork embodying the Land Cruiser's heritage, resulting in a fully functional, one-off "factory" vehicle.
The ROX's open-air cabin is accessed via custom-fabricated "skeleton" doors, and its custom front-to-rear sliding soft top can be opened. A functional mid-gate allows passage from its cabin to its truck bed to access the integrated tailgate seating and extra storage space.
Its exterior features a custom integrated triple-bar roof rack and sports bar with molle panels, with a custom jerry can next to the rear spare carrier for storing liquids, and custom fabricated high-lift front and rear steel bumpers for added protection.
Each of the ROX's corners also features widened fenders with massive tyres mounted to custom Calty-designed 18-inch one-piece machined billet wheels.
The one-of-a-kind concept build will be on display at SEMA 2024 in Las Vegas, which will run from 5 November 2024 to 8 November 2024.
