Toyota has unleashed an all new GT4 version of their Toyota GT 86 - developed by UK-based motorsport and engineering company, GPRM.
Although not a first racing variant of the GT 86, it is, however, the first one to be FIA compliant in the GT4 category. The model from GPRM comes with a bespoke version of the car's 2.0-litre, four-cylinder boxer engine.
GPRM developed this engine in collaboration with Nicholson McLaren Engines and according to them, will produce an output between 360bhp and 400bhp. The final output shall be determined once the testing phase concludes.
The Toyota GT 86 GT4 by GPRM will be eligible to take part in various GT4 competitions starting early 2014.
