Toyota updates the Yaris for 2010

The updated model goes on sale later this month, and as a result, the number of trim levels available for the Yaris hatchback in Europe increases to four, with the entry-level Base, followed by the Luna, then the Yaris 2010, and finally the Sol.

The new Yaris 2010 has a choice of three engines, the 69bhp 1.0-litre VVT-i and 100bhp 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i petrols, and a 90bhp 1.4-litre D4-D diesel unit. The Yaris 2010 also gets a series of minor changes to keep it updated for the new model year.

Cosmetically, the Yaris 2010 get tinted headlamp clusters, newly developed matt silver door handles, new hub cap and alloy wheel designs, a different rear light colour treatment and two new, grade-exclusive exterior colours, Light Purple Silver and Blue metallic.

On the inside, the Yaris 2010 features analogue instrument dials, a perforated leather steering wheel and gearshift knob, and distinctive upholstery trim while the standard equipment includes automatic air-conditioning and front foglights.
