YHI Corporation (Singapore) Pte Ltd, the exclusive distributor of Yokohama tyres in Singapore, held its annual YHI Dealers Night this past Sunday (9th April), to recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of its tyre dealers. The event also saw the local launch of two new Yokohama products - the BluEarth-Es ES32 tyre and the ADVAN FLEVA V701 tyre.
'BluEarth' is Yokohama's environmentally-human and socially-friendly global tyre brand, which realises excellent environmental performance while reducing the burden on drivers, passengers and the surrounding environment.
The new BluEarth-Es tyre is designed around four key performance traits - wet grip, wear resistance, durability and fuel efficiency. It uses Yokohama Rubber's proprietary 'nano BLEND compound', which includes orange oil, to create the best balance of high fuel efficiency, superior wet grip performance, and wear resistance. The use of orange oil makes the tyre's rubber more pliant, which results in an optimal contact area between tyre and road, thereby reducing uneven wear.
The BluEarth-Es tyre also features a new tread pattern with a wide, square and powerful profile that delivers stable driving performance and safe handling. The wider contact surface and even contact pressure helps to ensure better resistance to tyre wear, and also minimising uneven wear.
The second new tyre launched is the ADVAN FLEVA V701, the new high-perfomance sport tyre. As part of the company's global flagship 'ADVAN' brand, which epitomises Yokohama's 'Pursuit of Driving Pleasure', the new FLEVA sport tyre offers better and more emotional handling, improved wet grip, low noise, as well as a cool and attractive pattern design.

The tyre's directional tread pattern, lightning straight groove, claw groove and wide sword groove contributes to the tyres improved wet grip. It effectively pushes water aside in corners and improves hydroplaning resistance. This also contributes to its cool and attractive design, with a more aggressive and sporty look. With a non-penetrating lug groove pattern, the ADVAN FLEVA also suppresses popping noises to reduce the overall tyre noise and improve ride quietness.

The ADVAN FLEVA features the most advanced ADVAN profile, adapted from the ADVAN Sport V105. It improves steering stability at high speed, as well as the optimisation of ground contact. By differentiating the pitch layout between the shoulder and centre, along with increased tread pettern stiffness, there is a more direct feeling to the car's handling.
