Apparel retailer Uniqlo is now making the transition to all-electric logistics.
The firm has announced that its Click and Collect service will now be performed by the Citroen e-Berlingo electric van, just months after global logistics firm DHL also announced that it will begin making deliveries with the Citroen e-Dispatch electric van.
Uniqlo's Click and Collect service allows customers to shop online at their convenience and have their orders sent to the Uniqlo store of choice for self-pickup. Selected Uniqlo stores have also been providing same-day Click and Collect service which allows customers to place their orders by 12:00pm and have their parcel delivered within the same day. This same-day Click and Collect service will be available at 26 Uniqlo stores islandwide from 1 July 2022.
Uniqlo states that it has since achieved 50% of its transition to using renewable energy in 2021, leaving it well positioned to meet its target of transitioning completely to using renewable energy in 2030.
