Upcoming Rolls-Royce Ghost coupe to be fast and sporty

Rolls-Royce latest to display the spirit of ecstasy ornament will also be the fastest production car the luxury British marque has ever built. The Rolls Royce Ghost coupe might be powered by a tuned turbocharged 6.6-litre V12 with an estimated 600bhp. All the power will drive the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.
The coupe’s performance oriented power will be complemented with sports-related upgrades to the brakes, tyres and suspension without compromise on the comfort and luxury the British marque is known for. The Ghost coupe is rumoured to be 200mm shorter with a 180mm trimmed wheelbase from the Saloon. Kerb weight should be around 2300kg, roughly 200kg less than the standard saloon.
The top speed will be restricted to 250km/h, with a century sprint faster than 4.7 seconds over its saloon’s sibling. Rolls-Royce engineers comment the coupe to possess greater agility thanks to firmer suspensions, bigger tyres, reduced weight and size and a chassis lowered by 10mm.
Rolls-Royce bosses are tight-lipped about the new model’s name, and insist that a final decision has yet to be made. The Ghost coupe will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show next March and enter production in summer that year. Prices are expected to be between £205,000 and £230,000, though with COE and other taxes here, it will remain under the “Cars I can never own category”. For most of us at least.
