Updated Alfa Romeo Stelvio arrives in Singapore

It may be just months after Capella Auto announced that it would be taking over local representation of the Alfa Romeo brand, but the firm is evidently eager to kick things off with the launch of the facelifted Stelvio now available here in Singapore.
The rival to options including the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC can most easily be identified by its new adaptive matrix LED head lights, which now get a '3+3' light signature that evokes models including the Alfa Romeo SZ Zagato.
This change is mirrored on the SUV's new taillights, which now sport a new design said to better highlight the sporty nature of the vehicle.
Inside, the updates are more apparent. Drivers will now look at a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which offers a total of three different layouts. The first, called 'Relax', offers the most simplistic layout, and removes detailed vehicle information for an uncluttered look.
The 'Heritage' layout, meanwhile, is inspired by the brand's models from the 1960s and 1970s, with distinctive details like inverted numbers at the end of the speedometer. The third, 'Evolved' layout best utilises the central area of the screen, despite keeping its two lateral quadrants in place.
The updated Alfa Romeo Stelvio arrives in Singapore powered by a 276bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that develops a total of 400Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 100km/h from a standstill in 5.7 seconds.
The Stelvio also comes with the firm's all-wheel drive system, which typically sends power to the rear wheels, but can send up to 50% of the engine torque to the front in less than 150ms to prevent wheel slip. This technology, alongside the SUV's 50:50 weight distribution and the use of a limited-slip differential, all promise fine handling.
