Updated Zeekr 009 unveiled in Beijing with 900V architecture

Could we be looking at a thoroughly upgraded iteration of the Zeekr 009 on Singapore's shores soon?
Zeekr has taken to the 2026 Auto Beijing to pull the covers off what you could refer to as a facelift of the sublime 009. And while it doesn't seem that much has changed for the stately MPV on the surface, beneath the dearth of cosmetic tweaks lies a host of sweeping upgrades that promise to reinforce its position as one of the segment's leading names.
Headlining the action is a new 900V electrical architecture that will see the 009 rise to the fast charging heights that Zeekr first debuted on its current flagship: The 9X SUV. (For context, units of the 009 sold in Singapore thus far have featured a 400V platform.)
Zeekr is reserving this for the two dual-motor variants dubbed the '7-Seater Ultra+' and the '6-Seater Ultra+' in China, which are the likely equivalents of the 'Premium' and 'Flagship' we know in Singapore. Interestingly, both come with a 115kWh battery now - a slight drop (on paper at least) from the 116kWh item integrated with the 400V platform - but efficiency gains with the refresh nonetheless translate to an impressive CLTC-rated 720km of range.
The 900V platform of the updated 009 now means that a 10-80% recharge - or the equivalent of 510km of range - can take as a little as 10 minutes with a powerful-enough outlet
More importantly, however, the more powerful architecture unlocks 6C charging capabilities for the first time on the 009. That means that a 10-80% recharge now can take as little as 10 minutes now with the right DC outlet - or the equivalent of 510km of range returned to the car's battery.
And that's not all the 900V platform has unlocked.
In original guise, the dual-motor 009 had already sent ripples through the market with its eye-watering power. A whopping 450kW (603bhp) and 693Nm of torque meant that even with its 2.8 tonne kerb weight, it had managed a 4.5 second century sprint.
Zeekr, it seems, wasn't content with these numbers; it's upped the stakes now such that system output has been elevated further to an incredible 680kW (912bhp) and 913Nm, meaning it can crack the 100km/h from rest in just 3.9 seconds now.
While those numbers will no doubt make receiving the annual road tax bill a frightening affair, they also speak to the ambition and sheer might of the 009. For the first time, the dual-motor variants are even making the switch to dual-chamber air suspension with Continuous Damping Control for added comfort on the move.
Speaking of which, the 009 now promises even more luxury for occupants on the inside too. There should be no reason now to squabble over who has to take the third row because Zeekr is bringing ventilation to all seats onboard; the last row now also sits on rails and can be slid fore and aft for those at the rear to stretch out.
Second-row passengers, on the other hand, will now benefit from upgraded captain’s chairs with even better zero-gravity functions now and an increased number of massage points. Ostensibly for added ease of entry and exit, those on the 7-Seater Ultra+ can now even swivel 180 degrees.
Yet another highlight is a new 31-speaker high-end Naim sound system, promising a better listening experience still against the Yamaha speakers used on the 009 thus far. The move makes the updated 009 only the third model in the lineup to get the system, after the 9X and 8X. All over the cabin, Zeekr states that it has also introduced even finer Soft Nappa leather to ensconce occupants of the 009.
Other enhancements include Geely Group’s Super EVA onboard AI assistant, as well as the onboarding of new self-driving technologies - again first both seen on the 9X and 8X. As always, however, it remains to be seen whether all of these technologies eventually make their way into Singapore-bound units of the 009, since regulations and market preferences often influence what eventually makes the swim over.
