What a race. The season ending Brazilian Grand Prix proved to be one of, if not, the best action piece throughout the whole season with racing action, wheel trading and a spectacular engine blow out from Romain Grosjean's Lotus - in the final race for the 2.4-litre V8's.

Certain teams were disappointed by the lack of predicted rain despite low cloud swamping the circuit in the final 20 laps. Webber, competing in his last F1 race, was battling with the pranching horse for most part of the race, but the Ferrari was no match for the speed of the Red Bull and the Spaniard had to settle for the last podium spot.
Jenson Button performed flawlessly to score McLaren's best result of the season by finishing fourth ahead of Nico Rosberg - who led into Turn 1 but dropped down the order in the first stint with tyre degradation. The other McLaren piloted by Sergio Perez, in his last race for the British team, started at 19th and finished an impressive sixth. The other Ferrari with Felipe Massa at the wheel, rounded his career off in red overalls with a seventh place finish - following a drive-through penalty - for crossing the white line at the pit lane entry.
His finish in seventh cost the Scuderia Ferrari team the much needed second placing in the Constructors' Championships to Mercedes team by just six points. Prior to the penalty, Massa was running fourth behind Alonso, handling a more favourable second finish for the fabled team after Lewis Hamilton was caught in a collision with Valtteri Bottas's Williams on lap 47.
Bottas was trying to unlap himself and pulled alongside Hamilton on the outside of turn four. Apparently Hamilton didn't see the Williams and the two touched wheels, giving Hamilton a right rear puncture and sending Bottas spinning off as his left rear detached. Hamilton was handed a drive-through penalty for causing the collision, which dropped him down to ninth.
Nico Hulkenberg took eighth for Sauber, while Daniel Ricciardo, Mark Webber's replacement for 2014 claimed the final point. Lotus' hopes of a better constructors finish was denied after, Romain Grosjean, retired with an engine failure as he accelerated out of the final corner.
Marussia was pleased to claim the 10th position in the Constructors' Championship - attracting the much needed corporate sponsorship for the small outfit.

At the end of the 71 laps, Sebastian Vettel, equalled Alberto Ascari's record of nine consecutive victories by crossing the chequered flags 10 seconds ahead of team mate, Mark Webber, and 18 seconds ahead of Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari. Additionally the victory at Interlagos was also his 13th (out of 19) in the season, equalling another record held by compatriot, Michael Schumacher.
