Volkswagen readies to mark Golf's 50th anniversary

Volkswagen has announced that it will reveal a new updated iteration of the eight generation Golf this 2024, to mark the model's 50^th anniversary.

It states that the updated model is set to get visually refined features, new assistance systems and powertrains, alongside next-generation infotainment systems and software. The new model is set to make its world premiere in just a few weeks.

Volkswagen Singapore informs us that the updated iterations of the Golf, Golf GTI, and Golf R can be expected to arrive here in Singapore by the third quarter of 2024.

Back on the international scene, Volkswagen Classic has also announced that it will present historic Golf models from the Volkswagen collection at a host of events to mark the anniversary. The different generations of the Gold are set to feature at the Salon Retromobile show in Paris, while a Golf Mk1 and the unique EA 276 concept car are set to feature at the Bremen Classic Motorshow.
