Volkswagen to present new concept cars at 2025 Auto Shanghai

At the 2025 Auto Shanghai, which runs from 23 April 2025 to 2 May 2025, Volkswagen's "In China, for China" strategy will be taking on visible form as the brand's three Chinese joint ventures will each present an electric concept car.
The spotlight is on an electric notchback model from FAW-Volkswagen, an electric SUV with an extended range due to range-extender technology from SAIC Volkswagen, as well as an all-electric SUV from Volkswagen Anhui. All three concept cars will belong to the group of new energy vehicles (NEVs), a category that - in China - includes EVs, PHEVs, and range extender drives.
In this aforementioned group alone, Volkswagen has stated that it will launch over 20 models by 2027.
In addition, all three concept cars will embody Volkswagen's new China DNA, both in terms of technology and design and in relation to development time, which has been cut by more than 30%.
