Volkswagen has unveiled the ID. Life concept car at the 2021 IAA Munich International Motor Show.
The car is said to be an early preview of how a future electric ID. family model for the small car segment will look like.

The ID.Life is based on a smaller variant of Volkswagen's Modular Electric Drive Matrix that has been developed specifically for the small car segment.
A 231bhp electric motor allows the ID. Life to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, while its 57kWh high-voltage battery enables a range of some 400 kilometres based on the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure cycle.
Beyond just offering an all-electric drive, sustainability has also stood at the forefront for the design of the ID. Life.

In the interior, wood in the dashboard and rear seat surrounds is combined with ArtVelours Eco microfleece for the seat surfaces and door trims. Bio-oil, natural rubber and rice husks are just some of the materials that serve as a basis for the tyres on the ID. Life.
Once in here, customers will also be able to utilise the ID.Life as a reliable companion for digital experiences of various kinds. The vehicle comes with a video game console as well as a projector and projection screen set, so it can be converted into a cinema of gaming lounge, and should other devices need power, a 230V power supply is also provided.
A flexible seating design with both front and rear benches that can be folded down will allow for a myriad of uses for the interior space of the ID.Life.
