Volvo has revealed more of the interior of its all-electric EM90 MPV.
The car is said to deliver the most spacious and flexible interior the firm has yet offered, complete with six seats and the ability to deliver all seated within access to personalised entertainment and seat comfort options, controlled via a touchscreen located on the armrest.
Volvo states that the EM90 will also feature special lounge seats in its second row, that will come with amenities including a massage function as well as heating and ventilation. Those seated here will also have access to built-in table and cupholders.
The second-row seats of the EM90 will also make use of zero gravity cushions with a seven-layer structure, so the highest levels of both comfort and support are offered. Volvo states that access to the third row of seats will be easy, thanks to sliding rear doors and long-sliding second-row seats.
Also featuring in the cabin of the EM90 is a panoramic sunroof that covers the entire cabin. The sunroof will come with a curtain and multiple ambient lighting options, which Volvo states can recreate the famous Northern lights, or deliver themes that evoke the Swedish forests or the dawn of Midsummer.
The MPV will also come with a host of features including an Orrefors crystal gear shifter, as well as back-lit birch wood panels on the dashboard, doors, and the back of the front-row seats. The car's upholstery, meanwhile are said to have been inspired by both Scandinavian nature and Asian art.
The Volvo EM90 is set to make its global debut come 12 November 2023. Those interested are invited to join the livestream of the event via Volvo's dedicated site here.
