Volvo starts production of new ES90

Volvo Cars has announced that it has started production of its new ES90 for European markets.

The new all-electric sedan is said to combine a sleek exterior with 800V technology, enabling the vehicle to deliver a longer range alongside faster charging than any electric Volvo to date. The car also sports a next generation computing core, developed using the firm's Superset tech stack and described as allowing the car to evolve through continuous software updates.

Volvo has opened the order books for the ES90 across several European markets and deliveries of the car are set to start from late 2025. It is additionally set to be available across selected markets in the Asia Pacific region.
