Volvo teams Polestar for S60 TTA Swedish Touring contender

Swedish carmaker Volvo has announced last August that they will be concentrating on home-based TTA Racing Elite league. Now, together with Polestar, they have released details of the S60 TTA racer.

The carbon-fibre-bodied S60 racer boasts a V6 engine with KERS energy recovery system, similar to that on Formula One racers. Mated to a six-speed differential gearbox, all 420hp is transmitted to the tarmac via the rear wheels.

Alexander Murdzevski, Commercial Director of Volvo Motorsport Sweden commented, “We have had a big pressure on us from many curious Volvo enthusiasts as it is a new championship and a new racing car. That is why we chosen to reveal the car now. Our final team colors are going to be shown later, but this is our S60 in TTA racing specification.
