At a fireside chat with outdoors equipment brand Fjallraven at a secluded winter cabin in the north of Sweden, Volvo unveiled its all-new EX30 Cross Country. According to the brand, it is designed for people who want big experiences from their small, fully electric SUV.
Volvo has also launched a new Cross Country Experience package for customers who buy the car, providing access to accessories, gear, and information that allows owners of the new SUV to benefit from an array of bespoke offers. This package includes a load carrier, a roof basket, 18-inch all-terrain tyres, and mudflaps.
As a small SUV, the EX30 Cross Country is also perfect for the city. It is fully electric, offers 427km of range and zero tailpipe emissions, and can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes. Sitting higher than the standard EX30 for ease of navigation in rough terrain, it is also equipped with bigger wheels (with the option of an 18-inch all-terrain tyre) and comes with AWD.
Its front shield and boot lid comes in a special dark colour, with the former sporting an artwork featuring the topography of the Kebnekaise mountain range in Arctic Sweden. Chunky front and rear skidplates and wheelarch extensions complete its rugged look. Inside, its doors contain large storage compartments thanks to the incorporation of its speakers into the soundbar on the dashboard. A versatile central storage tunnel can be used as a cupholder or for storing items, in addition to a glove compartment below its centre console. Rear passengers can also access a storage box that slides out from below the central tunnel.
The Volvo EX30 Cross Country is now available for order in selected markets, with deliveries to start in the second quarter of 2025.
