Volvo Car U.S.A has announced the delivery of a brand-new, fully electric EX90 to Danny Temples, a South Carolinian resident and winner of the "My Volvo EX90 Story" sweepstakes.
Launched as part of its campaign celebrating 70 years in the U.S.A and the stories of the people who have shaped the brand's legacy, Volvo Car USA invited fans of the brand to create their own Volvo story with a chance to win one of the brand’s flagship fully electric SUVs.
As part of the prize, Temples and his wife received a personal tour of the Volvo Car Charleston Plant in Ridgeville, South Carolina for a first-hand look at exactly where his new EX90 was assembled. They then visited Hendrick Volvo Cars of Charleston to take home their Scandinavian Calm design of the EX90 - a Twin Motor Performance Plus in Denim Blue with Dawn Nordico interior.
Temples' story is now another moment added to Volvo Cars' long history in the U.S.A. Seven decades ago, the first Volvo, a PV444, was unloaded stateside at a port in Long Beach, California. This year, the company celebrated the sale of its five millionth new car in the country.
