VW Singapore launches Care-free Ownership Programme

Owning and maintaining a car in Singapore is not easy, especially with regulations requiring a substantial 50 percent down payment upon purchase. Volkswagen Singapore is rolling out a Care-free Ownership Programme (COP) to make it easier for consumers to get a new Volkswagen.
With the COP, a Volkswagen of choice for one to five years is within reach with no down payment at all. The COP is similar to having a property with a 99-year lease, except that it is much shorter and much more affordable.
For example, a Volkswagen Polo 1.2TSI can be leased at just $2,145 per month and a Golf GTI 2.0 TSI can be brought home at $3,326 per month for a five-year period.
Volkswagen's rates are fixed from the start and stays constant so consumers can plan and manage their finances. As consumers are not tied to a loan, there is no minimum capital sum to maintain in the bank, freeing them to use their money as they see fit.
Under the COP, Volkswagen has got the major annual expenditures such as servicing charges, insurance fees and road taxes all covered and consumers only have to pay for small everyday costs such as fuel, parking and ERP.
With a short term contract of one to five years, there's no need to worry about depreciation or resale values - consumers can easily switch to a new car at the end of the term.
