Wiesmann to launch exclusive MF5 Roadster at Frankfurt

The MF5 Roadster will be based on the MF5 Coupe, and will have typical Wiesmann design features, such as the trademark grille and retro styling.

Inside, the MF5 Roadster will be lavished with leather upholstery, as well as a unique centrally-mounted instrument cluster.

Performance-wise, the MF5 will use a 5.0 litre V10 taken from the BMW M5 and M6, which produces 507bhp and 520Nm of torque. This enables it to rocket from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds, up to a top speed of 310km/h.

According to Wiesmann, the Roadster delivers "the essential combination of sportiness and safety." This is achieved by having a perfectly balanced suspension, an extendable rear wing, and a torsion-resistant aluminium monocoque chassis with integrated side-impact protection. Safety has also not been compromised, with dual airbags, ABS and dynamic stability control included as standard.

The Wiesmann MF5 Roadster will be limited to just 55 units, to ensure exclusivity, and will go on sale shortly after the Frankfurt Motor Show.
