Toyota's compact sedan has enjoyed success in the local market thanks to its genuine practicality and reliability as a daily runabout. To do this, the body work sports additional features, such as a lightweight Catamaran roof design to help evoke air flow from the front to rear.
The Vios also scores in terms of refinement and comfort. The interior receives a boost in insulation – clocking a significant improve for its Noise & Vibration performance – through its dashboard, carpet, and engine silencers. A unique three-layer glass also helps to insulate the cabin against external noise and make the cabin a quieter place to be in.
Last but not least, the Vios is blessed with the efficiency – a trait synonymous with the Toyota brand name. The 1.5-litre powerplant is perky, yet frugal – claiming a very respectable fuel economy figure of 6.5L/100km. In addition, the clean and efficient engine also garners a $5,000 rebate under the CEVS scheme - adding on to its already sensible outfit to edge out in competition.
