BMW Asia and Performance Motors Limited launched the brand new BMW X7 SUV today (10 May), at an exclusive event held at Capella Manor on Sentosa Island.
The X7 is the brand's new flagship SUV model that sits at the top of the X lineup. The largest SUV to come out of the Bavarian marque, the X7 measures 5,151mm long, 2,000mm wide, 1,805mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3,105mm. The new design language of the car is dominated by expansive surfaces and precise lines, augmenting the car's authoritative presence.
The unmistakable front end of the car is dominated by an exceptionally large BMW kidney grille, framed on either side by LED head lights (optional BMW Laserlight is available, offering a high-beam range of up to 600m). The contemporary styling of the rear is emphasised by strong horisontal lines, slim LED lights, and the two-section split tailgate.
Of course, the car's immense size also translates to ample room in the interior. The X7 comes standard with with three rows of seats, with the third row sporting two full-sized seats, making the X7 a true seven-seater. Customers can also specify a six-seater configuration, with the second row composed of two individual comfort seats. All seats can be electrically adjusted at the push of a button.
The X7 comes with a three-part panoramic glass roof as standard. The Panorama Sky Lounge option for the glass roof features LED lighting spread evenly all across the panoramic glass roof, illuminating more than 15,000 graphic patterns to display something reminiscent of a starlit sky.

Of course, the X7 also comes equipped with the latest generation BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which comprises a fully digital instrument cluster and a Control Display, both of which measure 12.3-inches. The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant (IPA) included in the operating system presents the latest advances in the field of digital connectivity. Once activated with the spoken prompt 'Hey BMW', the digital companion helps the driver to utilise the car's functions. And, the system will continue to acquire new capabilities all the time thanks to updates transmitted seamlessly via Remote Software Upgrade.
The new BMW X7's commitment to progressive luxury is further underlined by the comprehensive array of driver assistance systems available. In Singapore, the X7 comes standard with the full suite of safety and assistance systems
At launch, the X7 will be available in xDrive40i guise, powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine producing 330bhp and 450Nm of torque. The X7 will be available in two six-seater trims and one seven-seater trim level.
