Mercedes has revealed its flagship sedan, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class combines the perfection and high-tech solutions of the only recently presented Mercedes-Benz S-Class with the exclusivity and tradition of Maybach.
Distinguishing features at the front include its distinctive bonnet, which features a chromed fin. The Mercedes-Maybach radiator grille remains highly recognisable by its vertical, three-dimensional trim strips.
From the flank, the rear doors of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class are wider than those of the brother models, and the C-pillars feature a fixed quarterlight. Exclusivity is emphasised by the Maybach brand logo on the C-pillar. Those looking for a most distinctive limousine can opt for a two-tone paint finish with a dividing line.
In the cabin, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class offers a sculptured look with its dashboard, centre console and armrests appearing to float above an expansive interior landscape.
Up to five display screens are available, and offered as standard is a 12.8-inch OLED central display alongside a 12.3-inch 3D driver display. On request, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class can be equipped with electrically operated comfort rear doors.
Also optional is active ambient lighting, which adds the additional colours with rose gold and amethyst, with its two new colour themes. A welcome lightshow for rear passengers can also be played with this option ticked.
Adaptive rear lighting is also its premiere in the Mercedes-Maybach, allowing passengers to adjust the brightness, the size and position of the lighting in the rear of the cabin, whether the need be for a precise working light or a diffused, relaxing lounge light.
The standard-fit Executive seats will also allow occupants to adopt a pleasant sleeping position using the footrest on the front seat and the electrically extending leg rest. The adjustment travel of the leg rest has been extended by 50mm compared to the preceding series.
A massage function for the calf rest as part of the Seating Comfort package Rear is making its premiere, while neck and shoulder heating in the rear is also being offered.

Partial electrification and an integrated second-generation starter-generator will facilitate efficient 'gliding' when driving at a constant speed, making the start/stop experience even more comfortable.
All engines will be paired with a nine-speed G-tronic transmission, while all-wheel drive comes as standard.
The AirMatic air suspension on the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class also comes with continuously adjustable damping as standard. A dedicated Maybach driving mode will set the car up with to focus entirely on ride comfort.
An optional, fully active E-Active Body Control suspension is also offered, and uses a stereo camera to scan the road ahead, and smooth out undulations.
Additional absorbent foam is installed in the area of the rear wheel arches, while the additional, fixed triangle windows in the C-pillars have thicker laminated glass in order to maintain acoustic comfort on the move. Noise-optimised tyres with foam absorbers are available for the Mercedes-Maybach on request.
Active road noise compensation is also making its premiere in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. The system reduces unwanted low-frequency noises using counter-phased sound waves. The bass speakers of the Burmester high-end 4D surround sound system are used for sound reproduction.
