Bentley Motors has announced that it has achieved a record first quarter for 2022, following from an already record-breaking sales performance for 2021.
The firm states that its first three months of the year has seen its operating profits climb 162%, to $291 million, mirroring the company's second highest full-year profit figure ever. Revenue and return on sales figures also reached record levels in the first three months of 2022, reaching $1.39 billion and 21% respectively.
The announcement follows a record financial year in 2021, when annual profit soared to $666 million - more than double the company's previous best of $291 million in 2014.
Bentley states its strong sales performance was driven in part from strong sales in Europe where total sales rose by 38%. Globally, Continental GT sales increased 10%, with strong performance in the Asia Pacific region and in the brand's home market of the U.K. in particular.
