The facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS has arrived in Singapore.

The four-door coupe is available here as a CLS450 4Matic, which will come equipped with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine developing 362bhp and 500Nm of torque. This unit will see the car completing the century sprint in just 4.8 seconds. If you're in the market for a four-door coupe, you'll want to note that that's significantly more engine and power than you'll be able to get in the Audi A7, which currently can only be had here in Singapore powered by a 188bhp 2.0-litre engine.

The Mercedes-Benz CLS now sports a discreet AMG spoiler lip added onto the boot lid
But those looking for more performance still will also be able to opt for the CLS53 4Matic+, which utilises a 429bhp six-cylinder that produces a peak torque of 520Nm. This engine will see the CLS completing the same sprint in just 4.5 seconds. This model comes equipped with the firm's AMG Ride Control+ air suspension system to deliver the dynamic handling expected of an AMG model.

Both engine options also come with a 48V mild hybrid system, capable of briefly delivering an additional 21bhp of power and 250Nm of torque.

On the outside, you'll be able to identify the facelifted CLS from its new grille. Still sporting the single horizontal louvre, it now features a three-dimensional star pattern within (just as we have seen on the new AMG-line Mercedes-Benz C-Class).

The car also now gets Mercedes' latest steering wheel, and can be had in new open-pore brown walnut and high-gloss grey wood trim inside
And below this grille rests a new AMG-specific front apron with its A-wing finished in black, housing a front splitter in silver chrome, sporty distinctive air intakes with vertical bars, and aerodynamically shaped flics in high-gloss black.

And at the rear, a new AMG spoiler lip on the boot lid gives the Mercedes-Benz CLS an elegant yet sporty look.

Opt for the CLS53, and this grille instead sports vertical elements. There's also the AMG Night Package or the AMG Exterior II Carbon Package to consider, which will finish your car with wing mirrors in high-gloss black, or with a housing made of carbon fibre. Opt for the two packages and you'll also get the radiator grille, Mercedes star at the rear, and your badging all finished in darkened chrome.

Pick the CLS53 and you'll get a total of 429bhp and 520Nm of torque from this six-cylinder
Step into the cabin of this updated Mercedes-Benz and the changes are more apparent.

The car now gets Mercedes' latest multifunction steering wheel, wrapped in nappa leather with spokes in high-gloss black with silver chrome edging and flanked by paddle shifters that are finished in silver chrome. The new wheel no longer requires steering movement to inform the assistance systems that the driver still has his/her hands on the wheel.

Two new trim finishes, open-pore brown walnut and high-gloss grey wood, are also available for the CLS here. The range of leather seat upholstery has also been expanded so customers can opt for combinations of neva grey/magma grey and sienna brown/black.

The CLS53 meanwhile, will get the AMG Performance steering wheel which can be finished in either a nappa leather/Dinamica microfibre combination or just in nappa leather.
