World class specialists Hilton & Moss have procured an example of the 1966 Shelby GT350, a muscle car that has been converted to track ready specifications. It was created in the same year as Ford's legendary win at Le Mans against Ferrari.
This Shelby GT350, which is presented in Candy Apple Red with standout 'Le Mans' stripes, honours the monumental achievement of its Ford GT40 cousin.
The car also boasts being something of a unicorn as the only one of 12 examples produced in 1966 that competed in period, making it well deserving of carrying the Carroll Shelby name.
Destined from the beginning for racing, this Shelby GT350 was delivered from the Shelby team to Hayward Motors California where it was reworked comprehensively in racing specification.
Despite its rarity, this Shelby GT350 was no garage queen. It upheld its racing inspired heritage, being a regular competitor at circuits such as Road Atlanta, Sebring, Palm Beach and Watkins Glen.
