Fuel companies across Singapore raised their prices on Monday and Tuesday, with giants Caltex and Shell recording the biggest overall increase

Caltex was the first to raise their prices, when its Grade 92, Grade 95 and Premium petrols all went up by 3 cents at 3pm on Monday, to $2.047, $2.107 and $2.245 per litre respectively. Its diesel prices posted an even greater increase when it went up by 5 cents to $1.653 per litre.
At 6pm on Monday, Shell followed Caltex's lead and raised their pump prices too, with its Grade 95 fuel going up by 2 cents to $2.097 per litre, and its Grade 98 and Premium petrols going up by 1 cent to $2.160 and $2.369 per litre respectively. Shell's diesel went up by 4 cents to $1.643 per litre.
On Tuesday, the other two petrol companies followed suit. Esso increased their prices at 10am on Tuesday, with Grade 92 and Grade 95 going up by 2.3 cents and 1.3 cents respectively, to end up on $2.040 and $2.090 per litre. Esso's diesel also went up by 4 cents to $1.643 per litre, but its Grade 98 fuel went down by 1 cent to $2.140 per litre. SPC's price changes mirrored Esso's later in the afternoon, with the exception being that its Grade 98 fuel going up by 1 cent to $2.140 per litre.
Following the changes, Caltex adjusted its prices to align them with its competitors. Its Grade 95 petrol went down by 1 cent to $2.097 per litre, its Premium going down by 2 cents to $2.225 per litre, and its diesel decreasing by 1 cent to $1.643 per litre. Caltex's 92 grade petrol remained unchanged at $2.047 per litre
