13 new cars you can buy (soon) at Singapore Motor Show 2026
08 Jan 2026|17,692 views
With a whopping 37 vehicle brands spanning three levels (or four, if we're counting Suntec City's Level 1 atrium), the 2026 Singapore Motor Show marks the most elaborate iteration that we've seen take Suntec City Convention Centre by storm in a good while. In fact, a couple of the more seasoned members of the Sgcarmart Editorial Team noted that a Show this big hasn't been observed since the halcyon days of car launching - pre-COVID, and pre-COE madness.
Unsurprisingly, you'll find relatively new names and faces (unsurprisingly also all from China) making up a good proportion of the gleaming machines under the bright lights. But here's an important note if you're on the hunt for a fresh ride in the coming months: Not all of them are set to go on sale in the near future.
To help the potential car buyers out there narrow their hunting down over the weekend, then, here are 13 of the most significant new cars at the Show that you can buy (or buy soon).
1. Aion UT (From $141,988 including COE)
Over the last two years, expectations for just how much an entry-level model can offer have been repeatedly rewritten. The arrival of the Aion UT now, GAC's smallest member here yet, promises to shake things up yet again.
Cuddly and cutesy looks aside (those head lights are apparently inspired by an owl), the UT sets new bars for compact electric hatchbacks on multiple accounts.
The UT boasts many segment best-ofs, including a 2,750mm wheelbase that gives rear passengers plentiful legroom
Despite being just under 4.3 metres long, its 2,750mm wheelbase bests that of some electric crossovers. Its 440-litre boot is also larger than anything we've seen in a car its size. Even the tech onboard doesn't feel entry-level - just look at how sharp the standard 8.8-inch digital driver's display and 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen are.
Most importantly perhaps, the UT promises to be easy to live with. Go for the UT Premium and you're looking at an on-paper range of 410km, DC fast charging for a 30-80% top-up in 24 minutes, and enough shove (210Nm of torque) for a 10-second century sprint.
2. Audi Q3 (From $265,999 including COE)
With the likes of the Q6 e-tron, A6 Sportback e-tron, A5 and A6 sedans, and Q5 all landing within the last 12 months, Audi has intensified its new product offensive with notable passion and energy of late. At Suntec, however, it pulled the covers off what is arguably the most important returning model yet: The all-new Audi Q3, now built atop of the PPC.
Now entering its third generation, the Q3 takes from the best of its larger siblings. It gets a sharpened front end reminiscent of the Q5; those split tail lamps, on the other hand, are distinctly A6-esque.
The new Q3 gets the same sort of split tail lamps seen on the A6; it's also powered by a mild-hybrid 1.5-litre turbocharged engine
Its interior is delightful new-school Audi too, featuring the brand's latest-gen MMI infotainment system and 'Digital Stage' panoramic display. Meanwhile, the same dedication to solid (if austere) build quality remains.
Where the Q3 shines like no other car, however, is with its positioning. It plays to today's consumer trends perfectly as a high-riding crossover, yet remains manoeuvrable and thus right-sized for the city with its compact dimensions. A 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine putting out 148bhp also means it should provide enough punch without running you into crazy road tax bills. We expect this to be another hit for Audi.
3. AVATR 07 (To be confirmed, arriving Q2 2026)
When it arrived in Singapore late last year, the AVATR 11 wowed us with its luxurious interior and generous feature-list (rear ventilated seats; a 25-speaker Meridian sound system), but most notably, with its design. Till today, its purportedly supercar-inspired proportions and F-shaped light signatures are a sight to behold.
Take that potent formula and infuse it into (just slightly) smaller form, and what you get is the AVATR 07. On first glance, the 07 may be hard to separate from the 11 - especially since it's not drastically downsized from its larger sibling. But one key difference might play a huge part: It now gets a proper SUV-esque rear-end unlike the 11's, which means its tailgate is a single-piece item, and its boot is of a more versatile shape. On the inside, it even gets a snazzier 'panoramic' digital display that runs the full-width from A-pillar to A-pillar.
The 07's interior is just as sumptuous as the 11's, but the unit on display comes with a cooler panoramic display that spans the entire width of the dashboard
No further specifications have been revealed about 07 yet ahead of its official market launch here (estimated at Q2 2026), except that the most powerful variants can deliver a supercar-rivalling century sprint timing of just 3.9 seconds. But there's a good chance that by sticking more closely to convention in form than the 11, the 07 might just find a wider audience.
4. BYD Seal 6 DM-i (To be confirmed, arriving H2 2026)
Clearly keen to maintain its market dominance, BYD is continuing its relentless turn of pace by bringing multiple fresh faces to Suntec City - including the Shark (a pickup), and the Tai 7 SUV. Still, there's only one name thus far that we can confirm will go on sale here soon: The Seal 6 DM-i.
While the Seal 6 DM-i will likely call to mind the generously kitted-out, fully-electric Seal 6 EV, it's actually styled quite differently, and operates quite differently beneath the surface too. You probably already know 'DM-i' as 'Dual Mode Intelligent' from the Sealion 6 DM-i, which means that the Seal 6 DM-i is - yes, you guessed it - a plug-in hybrid that relies on the best of both the combustion and electric worlds.
But what makes the Seal 6 DM-i extra special is that it offers the best of both worlds in body styles as well. At BYD's booth, you'll find that both a sedan and a wagon have been brought out for display. While the latter will surely appeal to the jaded modern petrolhead, Sgcarmart understands that it's the sedan that will probably be given priority for launch.
Official specifications and pricing haven't been announced yet, but the Seal 6 DM-i should eventually be released with a Cat B COE too.
5. Dongfeng Vigo (From $166,888 including COE)
Dongfeng's latest push to establish itself in the mass-market takes the shape of its first compact electric SUV here, called the Dongfeng Vigo. And based purely on first impressions, this one is brimming with lots of chipper appeal.
It's got more utilitarian design cues (peek those unpainted wheel arches; roof rails; chunky wheels) than your standard compact electric crossover to help it stand out with a nice, rugged visual. Yet it's also fairly spacious thanks to a 2,715mm wheelbase, competitively-positioned with a Cat A COE-friendly powertrain (99kW and 230Nm), and is highly practical with its 51.87kWh LFP battery giving it a rated range of 471km.
The Vigo is the only contender in the compact electric SUV segment with a split tailgate at the rear
Ultimately, it's also in the little unique touches where a car feels truly special. And here, the Vigo charms particularly with its delectable split tailgate, as well as 500-litre boot that's one of the biggest among its peers.
6. firefly by NIO (From $169,999 including COE)
This premium hatchback from NIO is both uniquely styled and thoughtfully designed. It's the only car in recent memory with identical head lights and tail lamps, which are reminiscent of a smartphone camera array. The look, though, does grow on you.
The interior is also convincing, with the bench-like front seats equipped with both massage and ventilation functions, 256-colour mood lighting, and a 14-speaker audio system enhanced by Dolby Atmos. Despite its compact size, the firefly has a 404-litre boot (expandable to 1,253 litres), and a 92-litre washable frunk.
This rear-wheel drive hatch packs on surprising practicality, and has an infotainment system that runs cutesy graphics
Unlike other small EVs, the firefly is rear-wheel drive. Its electric motor is capable of 105kW (141bhp) and 205Nm of torque, with a zero to 100km/h time of 8.1 seconds. Other standard features include blind spot cameras, a digital rearview mirror function, and shiftless advanced parking assist.
7. Honda Super-ONE (From $168,999 including COE)
The Super-ONE, an adorable five-door hatchback, is the first EV available from official agent Kah Motor.
It was created to "transform everyday mobility into an exciting and uplifting experience". It may be a kei car with diminutive dimensions, but its unique design touches, such as the kawaii face and round head lights, along with blistered wheel arches, make it impossible to miss.
Possibly our favourite launch at the show, the fully-electric Super-ONE promises driving thrills with its lightweight packaging
Its electric motor 'only' delivers 70kW (94bhp) and 162Nm of torque, but the Super-ONE's relatively light 1,092kg mass promises lively performance.
Complementing this are the Boost Mode that's tailored for this model, and a simulated seven-speed transmission that offers "the gearshift feel of a traditional multi-gear transmission". Indeed, the Super-ONE is one of the most distinctive EVs of the 2026 Motor Show.
8. Kia EV4 (From $225,999 including COE)
Kia's underrated lineup of fantastic electric machines continues its expansion (and progression) with a new even-numbered member, the EV4.
It's probably one of the most intriguing new cars you'll set eyes on at Suntec City Convention Centre - and not simply because of its hyper-futuristic styling, but also because it seriously blurs the lines between sedan and fastback. There's something 1970s coupe-esque about those slim taillights.
Sedan or fastback? The EV4 is one of the most interesting looking cars at the Show, and comes with Kia's airy, tech-forward cabin
Built atop of the formidable 800V E-GMP platform, expect generous legroom on the EV4 thanks to its 2,820mm wheelbase. It promises a good level of punch on the move too, with a single motor sending 150kW and 283Nm of torque to the front wheels.
And on the inside, the EV4 continues Kia's streak of ergonomic yet tech-forward interiors too, with its panoramic integrated display that sets itself apart slightly from those on competitors with a third 5.0-inch display for HVAC controls. Whoever said all EVs have to look and feel samey?
9. Lexus ES Sedan (To be confirmed, arriving in Q2 2026)
Now in its eighth generation, the ES reflects Lexus embracing the future, with a sleek, rearward tapering silhouette. L-shaped headlamps, and the spindle grille now integrated with the low bonnet. The saloon has grown, too: Its overall length and wheelbase are 165mm and 80mm longer than before to improve overall space.
More importantly, the ES' interior was designed with the 'Omotenashi' philosophy in mind, combining roominess, visibility and refinement. Simplicity is the theme, with physical controls chosen over haptic ones to ensure tactile feedback. The ES also debuts Responsive Hidden Switches that remain unlit till approached, at which point they gently illuminate.
The ES also caters to the driving experience with the 'Tazuna' cockpit, wherein every part is designed to fall easily to hand, so that they seamlessly connect the driver with the driving experience.
Upon homologation, the ES will be available as either the full electric ES 350e (dubbed the ES Pure Electric), or the hybrid ES 350h (dubbed the ES Full Hybrid Electric), with the former projected to launch first in Q2. The ES 350e will get a single 165kW (221bhp) motor powering the front wheels, while the ES 350h - set to launch in Q3 - will boast 244bhp and come with a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated engine under its hood.
10. Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe (From $304,888 including COE)
The CLA has always been one of Mercedes-Benz's most popular cars, and the all-new, larger model should have no trouble attracting buyers with its bolder design.
Inside, the new fourth-generation MBUX powers the infotainment, and is the first of its kind to integrate AI from Microsoft and Google. The new MBUX Superscreen features up to three displays, with graphics rendered by the Unity Game Engine.
The all-new CLA is offered as a BEV for the first time - and a fantastic one at that, with a claimed range of 800km - although a mild hybrid variant is still available (pictured in black)
The arguable headline for this latest generation, though, is that the CLA is available for the first time as a full electric model. The all-electric CLA250+ AMG Line Sport offers 200kW (268bhp) and 335Nm of torque. With an 85.5kWh battery, it has an impressive WLTP range of 808km, the most offered by an EV in Singapore to date. For buyers who prefer an ICE model, though, there's the CLA200 AMG Line, which has a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-pot paired to a 48V mild hybrid system.
Prices for the all-new CLA start from $304,888 at launch for the CLA200 AMG Line, but Mercedes-Benz Singapore has already revealed plans to launch a COE Cat A variant within Q1 2026 (subject to LTA approval). Depending on prevailing COE prices, indicative pricing should start from $261,888.
11. MGS6 EV SUV (From $189,888 including COE)
With its presence established quite strongly already with its smaller cars, MG is dreaming bigger. Enter: The MGS6 EV.
Set to take the fight to the likes of the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7, the MGS6 is exactly the sort of mid-sized electric SUV you'd expect MG to make. That means more long-wearing satisfaction than immediate pizzazz; more sensibility, less drama. If you already like the MGS5's interior, you'll probably appreciate the MGS6's even more, with a wider spread use of soft-touch materials, and just extra space all around.
Crucially, the MGS6 still rides on the MSP platform, and gets a single 109kW electric motor that sends all its power to the rear wheels - a potential bane for sheer explosive power, but a definite boon for agility (and maybe even fun). Powered by a 77kWh battery, it promises to go the distance more than any other MG before too, with a combined WLTP-rated range of 530km.
12. Subaru Solterra XT (From $228,800 including COE)
The 'XT' badge has returned, but instead of denoting a turbocharged powertrain, it represents an electric one. And, befitting the XT's reputation, this Solterra is powerful, boasting 252kW (338bhp), plus 268Nm of torque from the front motor and 169Nm from the rear one.
Equipped with all-wheel drive - which drivers expect from a Subaru - the Solterra XT goes from rest to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds. Range is pretty good as well, with the 73.1kWh battery delivering a range of 436km.
The Solterra is Subaru's first EV in Singapore, carrying Subaru's signature 'symmetrical all-wheel drive' philosophy into the electric era
Passengers can expect a spacious cabin and a nicely specified cockpit. The 14-inch infotainment display features built-in navigation, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Boot space, on the other hand, stands at 441 litres, making this SUV a practical hauler as well.
13. Volvo ES90 (From $410,000 including COE)
Volvo's all-new flagship is a fastback that offers advanced technology, safety, comfort, and performance. It's a handsome car, too, with Thor's Hammer head lights, C-shaped taillights, and LEDs on the rear windscreen.
Inside, occupants get plenty of room thanks to the 3.1-metre wheelbase, while refinements such as an available electrochromic sunroof, six ambient light themes, and a four-zone climate control system.
The ES90 is available in two variants: Plus and Ultra.
The latter offers even better standard equipment, with features such as massage functions for the front seats, and laminated acoustic glass for the side and rear windows. Both, however, have the same powertrain: A single electric motor producing 245kW (329bhp) and 480Nm of torque. Thanks to a 92kWh battery, the ES90 has a driving range of 661km.
With a whopping 37 vehicle brands spanning three levels (or four, if we're counting Suntec City's Level 1 atrium), the 2026 Singapore Motor Show marks the most elaborate iteration that we've seen take Suntec City Convention Centre by storm in a good while.
