A leader in aftermarket car audio, Pioneer Electronics AsiaCentre consistently brings industry-leading products to its customers. Its latest Multimedia Receiver, the AVH-X5850BT, brings a host of new features and enhancements that go beyond the ordinary, offering the ultimate in-car entertainment.
Pioneer's market-leading smartphone integration
Pioneer multimedia receivers are equipped with innovative features to take full advantage of the latest smartphones. AppRadio Mode is Pioneer's free application to view and control third-party utilities, navigational aids and social networks installed on iOS and Android Smartphones. AppRadio Mode is also compatible with AppRadioLIVE, which aggregates maps, music, news and events into four interactive quadrants on screen.
MIXTRAX is Pioneer's revolutionary virtual DJ technology that transforms a music library into a non-stop DJ mix, inserting transitions and effects automatically to string together tunes from an iPhone, iPod or USB storage device. User can set the illumination and display to pulsate and change colour according to the tempo and intensity of the music to truly recreate a club experience.
The multimedia receiver also has comprehensive Bluetooth functions, including Two-Phone Bluetooth Pairing capability, allowing up to two phones to be simultaneously connected. With Wireless Audio Browsing, drivers can search their music library via the head unit display, providing greater user convenience and a safer drive.

Pioneer AVH-X5850BT: Key enhancements to exceed the ordinary
Superior Music Quality
The Pioneer AVH-X5850BT now supports FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) lossless audio support, allowing both the driver and passengers to enjoy higher-quality music playback, sonically superior to MP3 and CDs. FLAC is an audio coding format in which the compressed audio does not lose any quality, retaining all the nuances and dynamism of an original studio recording. It also packs a higher resolution for enhanced clarity - at up to 24-bit/48KHz for the AVH-X5850BT multimedia receiver. At the same time, FLAC files are much smaller compared to uncompressed WAV files (50 to 60 percent smaller), allowing more songs to be stored on the same USB storage device or smartphone.
It is also loaded with audio settings to enhance your music listening experience including a 13-band EQ with slope adjustments, time alignment, three-way network mode, auto EQ, Pioneer's proprietary Sound Retriever AIR, and high voltage preouts.
Spotify: Millions of songs at your fingertips
A ubiquitous USB (iOS) or Bluetooth (Android) connecting is all that is required for Spotify to work with compatible smartphones on Pioneer's new multimedia receiver. Once connected, users can play, pause and skip tracks, browse playlists, albums and radio stations on the go, directly from the dashboard.
Clearer, wide-angle ClearType touchscreen
The AVH-X5850BT features a 7.0-inch wide-angle screen that is now equipped with an improved ClearType resistive touchscreen. Along with better visual quality, users will also be able to operate the head unit, play movies or navigate effortlessly and clearly at most viewing angles and under bright daylight conditions.
Steering wheel control module
The AVH-X5850BT also comes with a steering wheel control module that allows drivers to safely operate the receiver, including answering phone calls, without having to take their hands off the steering wheel. Holding the onboard mute button can further activate a voice recognition function. This puts direct control of the multimedia receiver right at the driver's fingertips.
The Pioneer AVH-X5850BT Multimedia Receiver is retailing at $899 and it comes with a one-year warranty. It is available at all Pioneer authorised retailers.
