Porsche galore at the Cars & Kopi 'Raceborn' Edition

It's F1 season once again, and the adrenaline is pumping through Singapore. From malls to corporate events and car brand, everyone is in the motorsports mood.
Being a brand that is deeply connected to the motorsports world, Porsche has organised a week-long celebration of its motorsports heritage, dubbed 'Raceborn'.
Riding on the momentum of the brand's recent official launch of the 992.2 GT3 at the Porsche Studio, Porsche brought the 911 Cup, along with a slew of merchandise to Dempsey Hill for a special Cars 'N' Kopi meet.
Porsche also brought along a Volkswagen Kombi dressed in the legendary Renndienst 'Race Service' livery, filled to the brim with goodies for members of the public who follow the PEC and Porsche Singapore Instagram accounts
Along with the special car showcase, Porsche was also taking the opportunity to promote its upcoming Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) Singapore. A merchandise-filled tote bag was given to anyone who follows the Porsche Singapore and PEC Singapore Instagram page at the event.
The best part of the morning however, has got to be the amazing cars that turned up at the event - I'll show you some of my favourites.
Let's start it off with the Porsches that turned up:
Here's an incredible twin - the 911 R - limited to 991 units ever made, and offered only with a six-speed manual; the silver Porsche parked beside it is a customised Porsche 356 - the first-ever production Porsche model
The 997.1 GT3 RS - only 1,106 made in the world, and one of my all-time favourites; this track-focused 911 puts out 415bhp at 7,600rpm, and is equipped with a roll cage
This is the 911 (991) GT3 RS, offered only with a 7-speed PDK gearbox; fitted with a set of BBS E07 motorsports rims, this unit looks fantastic
Here's another GT3 RS, this time a 997.2 - with only 1,500 ever made, this is quite a rare beauty as well
More amazing machines - the red car is a GT4 RS, a car that surprised everyone: Porsche equipped an engine derived from the one in the GT3 in the Cayman 718 to create a beast of a machine
Now, let's have a look at the non-Porsche beauties that also turned up to celebrate the spirit of motorsports.
The JDM car community was also very well-represented, with a slew of modified rides, ranging from more mundane, but tastefully modified cars...
... to homologation specials such as the GR Yaris:
And even the Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R, the poster child of legendary JDMs from the 90s.
While it was an event that Porsche organised, there were many interesting cars that turned up, making it a truly enjoyable car meet to be at.
Thank you Porsche for organising a truly enjoyable car meet, we can't wait for the Porsche Experience Centre Singapore to be completed, maybe a car meet could be held there in the future?
