  • Why Skylink is your full-fledged mobility partner

Find out why Skylink Vehicle Rental Pte Ltd is the one-stop partner for your vehicle leasing, rental, credit financing, and workshop servicing needs.

It isn't very common for a company that has just turned seven to already be established as a holdings group. It's even rarer for such a corporation to not lose sight of its foremost priority as it grows: The customers.

Skylink Group Holdings is one such case in point that checks both boxes.

"How does Skylink achieve this?" you may ask. By engineering a suite of services spanning the spectrum of the value chain to curate solutions for all who knock on their doors.

The Group has humble beginnings as a one-man entity - known as Skylink Auto Pte Ltd - focused on the sales of new and pre-owned vehicles. Today, Skylink boasts end-to-end mobility solutions in six parts of the value chain that promise peace of mind to their customers.

From vehicle trading (i.e. buying and selling), leasing, insurance, credit financing, workshop servicing to customised engineering works, Skylink tells you why it is your full-fledged mobility partner.

    Foresight to diversify

One of Skylink's biggest advantages is its 60,000-feet sales gallery, located at the rooftop of WCEGA Plaza. Step into the expansive space where the built concrete forms a continuous tapestry with the blue skies, and you'll be spoiled for choice by Skylink's impressive inventory.

With over 100 ready-to-deliver vehicles in its inventory, Skylink's range of mini and standard vans, mini-buses, and small to heavy-duty trucks is sure to meet your diverse logistics and transport needs. Browse and test drive the columns of 10-feet lorries and trucks, and 14-feet movers sitting alongside heavy-duty vehicles at your convenience and take your pick.

Albeit being a relatively young player in the industry, Skylink has exemplified a unique disposition and foresight to diversify its business ahead of challenges.

Its latest expansion into the realm of passenger cars is proof. In a landscape where the demand for ride-hailing and car-sharing services are quickly gathering tailwinds, Skylink has identified an opportunity and got on the bandwagon opportunely.

This was the very same impetus that propelled Skylink from a one-man set-up to the holdings group - comprising Skylink Auto Pte Ltd and Skylink Vehicle Rental Pte Ltd - it is today. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit our shores and brought industry sales to a near crippling halt, Skylink fortunately escaped unscathed.

Leveraging his years of experience in the automotive arena, Mr. Wesley Shen, Skylink's Chief Executive Officer, recognised early on the potential that vehicle leasing holds for the business amidst market volatility. In an era of uncharted waters when one's radius of mobility was limited to their home, Mr. Shen led Skylink to supply the much-needed vehicles to fulfil last-mile deliveries.

"For a business owner, it was really challenging but we managed to stay resilient (through the crisis)," said Mr. Shen, as he recalled how critical it was to establish an umbrella of essential services while in the thick of uncertainty.

Having knowledge of Skylink's journey demystifies how its panoramic rooftop showroom and inventory came to exist. It's also no wonder how Skylink has forged trusting partnerships with Certis Cisco, Sheng Siong, Fairprice, Sembcorp, and other prominent brand names in just seven years.

    Moving green

A market leader is one that's strategic and one that's consistently so. Skylink is developing green solutions for the next phase of its growth. Here, Skylink draws yet another series of deliberate broad strokes to complete the calligraphy it has planned out.

The Group has started moving. In its first stroke, the Group lays the foundation by expanding its fleet of Electric Vehicles (EVs). This will help Skylink to meet its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) targets, and more importantly, realise its upcoming collaboration with Gojek.

With more than 50 EVs under its wing at present, this number is set to increase - rapidly. Skylink will offer modern hybrid models in support of partner initiatives starting with its Gojek Fleet partnership. This next stroke fits in nicely with the Singapore Green Plan 2030 to advance our national sustainable development agenda.

The collaboration will also see Skylink incentivising Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) drivers who choose to rent or lease vehicles from them to complete their job orders. "For instance, PHV drivers could enjoy a better standing on the Gojek platform if they use a Skylink asset," shared Mr. Shen, teasing at the benefits of this new tie-up for both drivers and riders.

This will be Skylink's first and possibly most important green move that will pave the way for subsequent green initiatives.

Your full-fledged mobility partner of choice

In a playing field saturated with competitors offering similar ranges of service, Skylink has artfully differentiated itself from the pack.

It is forward looking and is why it has developed comprehensive end-to-end mobility solutions to value add every customer's journey with them. Above all, Skylink's visionary leadership to expand and diversify means it will constantly remain ahead of the curve to bring only the best services to its customers.

This is why partnering with Skylink ensures you are in good hands. If you have a mobility-centric problem on hand, look no further than Skylink because they will have the right solutions tailored just for you, with quick and favourable turnarounds.

Pay a visit to Skylink Vehicle Rental Pte Ltd at 1 Bukit Batok Crescent, #08-03 WCEGA Plaza, Singapore 658064, between 8:30am and 6:00pm on Mondays to Saturdays, to kickstart your one-stop vehicle rental and leasing journey with Skylink.
