Acura offers early preview of new RSX performance SUV

Acura has unveiled its RSX Prototype, described as a preview of the brand's next generation all-electric model.
The prototype is additionally said to utilise the firm's next generation electric vehicle platform, allowing it to sport an athletic stance while offering high freedom when it comes to vehicle dimensions. This stance is further emphasised by the use of 21-inch rims, which in turn house some sporty Brembo brakes with bright red callipers. Short overhangs at either end further accentuate this performance-oriented look.
Further aft, the Acura RSX Prototype gets a fastback roofline, which dips into a full-width rear taillight (complete with the 'Acura' text splashed across its tailgate) alongside an integrated ducktail-style rear spoiler.
The concept is further said to make use of a new Asimo OS operating system, which will offer integrated management of electronic control units for automated driving and advanced driver assistance systems, in-vehicle infotainment and other vehicle systems. The new operating system will also support over-the-air updates and offer customisable features and services to enhance the ownership experience.
If you like what you see, there's good news: Acura states that a production version of this RSX is set to hit the U.S.A come late 2026 (complete with that new operating system). The series production car will be the first to be based on the new Honda-developed electric vehicle platform and will be produced at the Honda EV Hub flexible manufacturing facility in Ohio.
