Aion V secures five-star ANCAP safety rating
24 Dec 2025|115 views
Upon its official launch in Australia and New Zealand in November 2025, GAC has announced that its Aion V model has achieved a five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Programme (ANCAP).
ANCAP safety rating focuses on four core dimensions: Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Vulnerable Road User Protection, and Safety Assist. With extremely rigorous testing processes and internationally advanced evaluation standards, it comprehensively assesses the overall safety performance of vehicles.
In this regard, the Aion V has demonstrated balanced and outstanding performance in all dimensions: Adult Occupant Protection reaches a high level, Child Occupant Protection performs brilliantly, while Vulnerable Road User Protection and Safety Assist systems show steady performance, achieving all-scenario safety protection without shortcomings.
Key results of the test include full marks in both frontal and side collision dynamic tests, as well as the AEB Motorcycle test, where the system accurately identifies pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.
