Alfa Romeo Zagato TZ3 Stradale revealed
30 Apr 2011|5,265 views
The TZ3 Stradale is based on a previous Alfa Romeo concept, and Zagato has used the underpinnings of the Dodge Viper ACR to build a limited number of road going versions. Just 9 units of the TZ3 Stradale will be made, with the first example going to American Alfa Romeo and Zagato collector Eric King. The second and third units of the TZ3 Stradale will be headed to collectors in Japan and Europe respectively. The Zagato TZ3 Stradale makes use of the Dodge Viper ACR’s platform and mechanical hardware, as well as the same 8.4-litre V10 engine that produces 600bhp, from the Dodge Viper SRT-10. The six-speed manual gearbox and racing-spec suspension is also derived from the Viper, but the TZ3 Stradale features a bespoke carbon fibre body, with its Kamm-tail design.
The TZ3 Stradale is Zagato’s tribute to Alfa Romeo’s 100th anniversary last year, along with the TZ3 Corsa which was based on Alfa Romeo’s own 8C Competizione supercar and was unveiled in 2009. The TZ3 Corsa won the Villa D'Este Design Concept Award in 2010.
