All-new Yangwang U8L fronts lineup at 2025 Auto Shanghai

The all-new U8L, a stretched full-size luxury SUV based on the pre-existing U8, has been unveiled by Yangwang at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, and was showcased alongside its complete product lineup, which consists of the U7, U8, and U9.

Featuring a six-seat layout, the Yangwang U8L is claimed to boast the longest wheelbase and body length among mainstream models in its class and complements the U8 model for high-end business receptions and group travel.

The Yangwang U8L adopts a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, and its second and third rows are easily accessible, catering to the needs of high-end users for business receptions or group travel

Based on the U8 series, the all-new luxury SUV features BYD's e⁴ Platform and DiSus-P Intelligent Body Control System. It also carries forward the U8 series' distinctive front design and introduces a new black-gold, two-tone exterior with Obsidian Black and Daybreak Gold.

The U8L's body measures 5,400mm long and features blacked-out details, including the front bumper and D-pillar energy towers. Its rear now adopts an upper-lower opening electric tailgate design. It also features minimalist wheel arches, and 23-inch wheels housed in a 3,250mm wheelbase.

The U8L offers extreme safety features such as emergency water floatation, tyre-blowout stability, and on-the-spot U-turns

Additionally, Yangwang has equipped the U8L with an Oracle Script Golden Car Emblem, made of 24K gold, which is available on the front, rear, and steering wheel.

Yangwang also introduced the U9 Carbon Fibre Personalisation Kit at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. This includes enhanced carbon-fibre front spoilers, carbon-fibre wheels, and carbon-fibre bucket seats for the U9, enhancing its sporty appearance. The brand has said that this kit will be available for order later in 2025.
