Allianz launches tyre recycling initiative in Singapore

Allianz Insurance Singapore (AIS) has launched Recycle My Tyres, a recycling initiative encouraging more sustainable tyre disposal practices and the reduction of automotive waste.

This programme, created in partnership with Singapore-based tyre recycler Global Enviro Technology, enables car owners to drop off used tyres at participating Allianz-authorised workshops. Tyres are then collected, pre-processed, and transformed into materials like recovered carbon black, syngas, and steel.

Through this initiative, AIS and Global Enviro Technology will track the number of tyres collected and estimate the carbon savings from recycling. This data will help raise awareness and reinforce the collective impact of small changes.

The Recycle My Tyres programme is available to the general public to participate in. Interested drivers can visit participating Allianz-authorised workshops to drop off used tyres and have them recycled at no extra cost.
