Aston Martin celebrated 100 years of Grand Prix racing at the French Grand Prix, boasting the title of being the only manufacturer currently existing which has such an early history of the epitome of racing divisions.
The manufacturer took out its original Grand Prix car, the TT1 'Green Pea' for a celebratory lap with four-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel behind the wheel.

The car also weighed in at a featherweight 750kg, 45kg lighter than the current day Formula One car from Aston Martin. It has a top speed of 85mph and carried two seats, one off set, as per Grand Prix regulations of the time.
During this weekend, the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One team will race with the original Aston Martin logo from 1913 on the nose of its cars as tribute to the marque featured on 'Green Pea'.
This symbolic switch comes in the same week that Aston Martin launches a new identity, including an update to its iconic wings logo.
