Audi catches Olympic fever: A1 e-Tron gets Olympic treatment

As the London Olympics 2012 is still ongoing, Audi has decided that it is an opportune time to unveil an one-off version of the A1 e-Tron as a commemorative model. Dubbed as the Audi A1 e-Tron Germany Olympic Team Edition, the one-off wears the pride and colours of Germany and rides on a bespoke set of white multi-spoke alloys boasting touches of the country's national colors. Other styling changes include the black bezel headlamps, an exclusive interior trim that adopts a similar patriotic styling, while the roof and side mirrors have "2012" plastered on them.
Audi is an official partner of the National Paralympic Committee Germany and also Germany's Olympic Sports Confederation. The carmaker sent 60 units of the A1 e-Tron to UK's capital where they are used as a shuttle service, travelling between the MS Deutschland cruise ship and the German House.
The Audi A1 e-Tron is powered by an internal combustion unit that charges the vehicle's batteries, producing 102bhp, which is enough for a century sprint in under 10 seconds with a top speed of 120km/h.
