Audi Singapore introduces the first ever S3 Sedan

The heart of the Audi S3 Sedan is a 2.0-litre TFSI engine with turbocharging and direct injection. The lump produces 280bhp and 380Nm of torque - yet contrasts with efficiency figures of 6.9L/100km. Its predecessor was crowned 'International Engine of the Year' in its class no less than five times in a row, and the new unit boasts even more impressive figures.

Audi credits additional technical features from Audi's modular efficiency platform to the low fuel consumption - including an additional indirect injection as a supplement to FSI direct injection and, among others, an innovative thermal management system.
The power unit is married to a six-speed automatic transmission, altough the driver can demand manual control via the optionally available paddles on the steering wheel.
The front-biased quattro permanent all-wheel drive system gives the S3 Sedan the added edge when it comes to traction, dynamics and stability. Its centerpiece is a newly developed, electronically controlled and hydraulically actuated multi-plate clutch - placed in front of the rear differential - for better weight distribution.
The sport suspension lowers the S3 Sedan by 25mm compared to its stock brethren, while braking power is supported by 340mm discs at the front with black and optionally red callipers bearing S3 logos.
The S-specific Singleframe grille glows with a chrome frame while Audi's optional LED headlights offer excellent illumination in addition to a striking visual signature. The rear bumper has been redesigned and features a subtle spoiler lip on top of the boot lid - that can hold 390 litres of cargo. A platinum grey diffuser encloses four oval tailpipes with chrome tips.
At press time, the Audi S3 Sedan retails from S$251,500, and is now available at Audi Centre Singapore.

Paired with the S tronic, the car accomplishes the sprint to the century mark, from nought, in a brisk 5.0 seconds and continues to climb to an electronically governed 250km/h - returning 14.5km/L and emitting 159g of CO2 per km.
