More dynamic, more efficient, and more digital than ever. These are the words Audi has used to describe its new A6 Avant model. A combination of sportiness and a high level of comfort makes travelling in the A6 Avant a first-class experience.
With a reduced design language, the new car conveys a functional and timeless character. It sports large air curtains and controllable cool-air intakes at the front with a striking roof spoiler and aerodynamic panels on the sides of its rear window contributing to its aerodynamic qualities. The sporty rear with eye-catching diffuser embodies typical Avant characteristics, and when paired with the quattro blisters, accentuates its dynamic design. At the same time, its long wheelbase and extended hood embody elegance and round off the A6 Avant's proportions.
The A6 Avant is equipped with the mild hybrid technology, called MHEV plus, which features two variants: The 2.0 TDI four-cylinder variant offers 150kW (201bhp) and 400Nm of torque, while the 3.0 TFSI six-cylinder offers 270kW (362bhp) and 550Nm of torque. It also has an entry-level variant: The 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder variant offers 150kW (201bhp) and 340Nm of torque, with its turbocharger and variable turbine geometry improving the responsiveness and efficiency of the direct injection engine.
The MHEV plus system consists of three main components: a 48V battery, the belt alternator starter, and the powertrain generator with integrated power electronics. This allows it to support the combustion-engine vehicle by enhancing performance and ride quality, as well as reducing CO2 emissions.
In addition, the MHEV plus technology allows the A6 Avant to run solely on the powertrain generator when driving slowly in the city, in slow-moving traffic, or when coasting to the next village outside city limits. This increases its efficiency.
Personalisation plays a big role in the A6 Avant's interior, allowing the driver to choose from seven digital light signatures at its front and rear. Numerous first-rate features include its adjustable panoramic glass roof, its premium sound system with 3D sound from Bang & Olufsen, the optional four-zone automatic climate control package which ensures comfort for all passengers, and the optional air quality package that includes an ioniser and fine dust sensor helping to improve air quality in the interior.
European orders for the new Audi A6 Avant can be placed as of March 2025, with the first vehicles to be delivered to customers at the end of May 2025.
