Bentley has also joined in the celebrations surrounding the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with its 2003 Speed 8 having made a return to the circuit as part of a centenary parade.
The car - Speed 8 chassis 004/5 - was piloted by Guy Smith, the same driver who took the chequered flag twenty years ago. The outing additionally marks the first time the car has turned a wheel at the circuit.
The car only recently underwent a complete rebuild, designed to return it to an as-new standard. It stands as one of the eight motorsport vehicles in Bentley's Heritage Collection, all of which are maintained in running order, alongside the 37 road-going members of the fleet which are set to be road legal by the end of 2023.
