BMW 135i gets new twin-scroll turbocharged engine

This is due to the adoption of the single, twin-scroll turbocharger and the integration of VALVETRONIC throttle-less intake technology, and BMW says that peak torque arrives earlier in the rev band and engine boost response is improved across the entire engine speed range.
Other changes to the 135i for the 2010 model year include an optional 7-speed Double-Clutch Transmission (DCT) with dedicated paddles mounted on the steering wheel for upshifts and downshifts, while there is a new Harman Kardon Surround Sound System and revised climate control system.
